Thank you to the over 1,700 people who responded to my Biggest Survey – an overwhelming response. Your responses help me identify local issues and concerns and contribute to my understanding of what’s important to the people I represent in parliament. The survey confirmed that cost of living pressures are hitting hard and respondents support measures to ease that pressure, including allowing pensioners and veterans to work more hours without losing their pension and prioritising keeping the lights on with a reliable energy supply. Locally, respondents would like to see more congestion-busting measures for our local roads, and prioritise a new passenger rail line to Maroochydore and more lanes for the Sunshine Coast Motorway.
