Email /message management
Mr O’Brien receives a large number of emails each day and they are managed using the following criteria:
- If they are a resident of Fairfax and the issue is urgent, we ask that they contact the electorate office on (07) 5479 2800 between 9am and 4:45pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that urgent matters should not be sent by email.
- For all other enquiries, we prioritise Fairfax residents and we ask that they confirm their full name and residential address. We inform constituents that the time it takes for us to respond is dependent on parliamentary and electorate commitments. Response times may also be impacted by the time it takes relevant third parties to provide information to the electorate office. Some emails may be assessed as not requiring a response at all, particularly if the constituent is expressing their point of view.
- If emails are part of an automated mass-email campaign, their views are noted, but not always respond to directly.
