Ted O’Brien MP has encouraged students, researchers and professionals in Fairfax to apply for a share of up to $119 million in funding as part of the Federal Government’s new Endeavour Leadership Program.
Mr O’Brien said applications for the program were now open.
“The program offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for students in Fairfax to study or conduct research at leading institutions in Australia and around the world,” Mr O’Brien said.
“Our economy depends on ensuring our students, academics and researchers become world leaders in their field – this investment will give them the skills to achieve that.
“I encourage all eligible people in Fairfax to apply for the program to expand their horizons and gain insights and skills to help them become the next generation of leaders.”
It is expected around 2,500 people will take part this year, with grants starting at $2,500.
The program is open to undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education and training students, as well as higher education providers and registered training organisations.
It brings together the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships and the Endeavour Mobility Grants.
