Medifarm, Queensland’s first licensed provider of medical cannabis, has commenced construction of their greenhouse facility at a secret location on the Sunshine Coast.
I saw the facility this week, which is expected to begin providing medicinal cannabis oils from early 2018. This is a great example of innovative industries recognising the benefits of establishing their business here on the Sunshine Coast.
The Federal Government facilitates access to medicinal cannabis (also known as medical cannabis) to appropriate patients for medical conditions where there is evidence to support its use. There are strict legislative and regulatory controls to ensure its availability and use is restricted.
