In May 2017, Ted hosted a survey and forum on the economy and future of Nambour. Over 500 people responded to the survey, with a further 60 locals and business representatives participating in a forum to share ideas and strategies. Closure of small businesses, lack of local jobs and the downsizing of Nambour Hospital ranked as the top issues of concern.
Forum participants developed a 10 year vision for the town to transition its local economy while maintaining its distinct community identity. Ted looks forward to working with the community to identify and action key work streams to secure Nambour’s future.
