It has been a great honour to serve as Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Treasurer, and I am grateful to my colleagues for the opportunity to serve in those roles.
I congratulate Angus Taylor on his election as Leader of the Liberal Party and Jane Hume on her election as Deputy Leader. Both are outstanding individuals who will serve our party and our nation well. It is critical that we unite behind Angus and Jane in holding this bad government to account.
I also thank Sussan Ley for her dedicated service and leadership during a challenging period for our party. Sussan’s commitment to the Liberal Party and to our country is deeply appreciated.
