Ted O’Brien will take a fully staffed mobile office on a listening tour of the electorate so pop in and have a chat or book a longer appointment in his private marquee office (dates & times below).
As well as continuing his well-received drop-in listening posts, Mr O’Brien has upped the ante this year to enable private appointments in a fully staffed mobile office with computers and furniture.
“This is about being as accessible to the community as possible,” Mr O’Brien said.
“Some people can find it difficult to get to my electorate office in Maroochydore and I don’t want that to be a hindrance for those who really need help or advice.
“Others can feel intimidated or worry that their issue isn’t important enough for a formal meeting in my electorate office.
“I really want to break down those barriers and a fully operational mobile office seems like a good way to achieve that.”
Mobile office meetings will take place in the privacy of a walled marquee, complete with furniture, computer equipment and extra on-site staff to help facilitate a quick resolution.
In the week leading up to Australia Day Ted will set up his mobile office in Nambour, Brightwater, Bli Bli and Coolum marking his seventh seasonal road trip since being elected.
“I’m constantly looking for better ways to serve the community,” Mr O’Brien said.
“I’ve had positive feedback about my regular listening posts where people can drop in for a chat or to discuss issues.
“Now they have the opportunity for a sit-down appointment too.”
Mr O’Brien will be at the following locations from Monday January 22 to Thursday January 25.
