The Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre have renewed deteriorating office furntiture this week following the announcement of a $10,741 Federal Government grant from Federal Member for Fairfax, Ted O’Brien.
The organisation has been providing support for disadvantaged communities for 38 years on the Sunshine Coast, and warmly welcomed the support.
CEO of the Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre Michael Henning and Community Development Coordinator Mark Ellis were also congratulated for their recent efforts in fundraising over $200,000 to secure two sleepbuses for the Sunshine Coast. The first of their kind in Queensland.
Their achievements have become an inspiration to other region’s across Australia.
