With the closure of Terella Brewing, following Sol Bar and The Station, and the loss of many other entertainment and hospitality businesses over the past year, it is clear the Sunshine Coast is facing a serious challenge. Costs are rising across the board for both patrons and local businesses. Locals are feeling the squeeze, and venue owners are battling higher electricity prices, rising insurance premiums, increased product costs, higher rents, and more red tape and taxes.
Our entertainment venues are vital to the culture, jobs, and local economy of the Sunshine Coast. We cannot afford to lose them.
