The 2032 Games will be the single most transformational event for the Sunshine Coast, but it’s up to us as a region to to make sure we get it right.
That’s why Federal Member for Fairfax, and Special Envoy for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Ted O’Brien is developing a local 2032 Games Taskforce which will ensure the Sunshine Coast and Noosa region maximize the opportunities made available by hosting the Games.
You are invited to register your interest in attending an upcoming forum which will help shape the 2032 Sunshine Coast Taskforce.
The forum will be held on Wednesday 2nd March from 8.30am to 11.00am at the University of the Sunshine Coast Auditorium and will be facilitated by Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast.
The purpose of the forum is to build on the Terms of Reference (TOR) and to participate in one of the following focus groups, which will inform the Taskforce sub-committees:
- Arts & Culture
- Business & Tourism
- Community & Volunteers
- Environment & Sustainability
- Infrastructure
- Sport & Recreation

As numbers will be strictly limited and we want to maximise the number of organisations represented, we are asking all interested parties to register their interests online, specifying which focus group they want to participate in and why they want to be involved.
